Barbara Delgleize - 2017
Barbara Delgleize,
Mayor of Huntington Beach

  Barbara Delgleize, a residential real estate broker, has lived in Huntington Beach since 1974 where she raised her daughter. She is active in philanthropic organizations and has been a long time member of the HB Chamber of Commerce, having served as Chairman of the Board in 2009. In addition, she served on the HB Infrastructure Committee and as a member of the 2009 HB Centennial Committee celebrating 100 years of Huntington Beach history.

Prior to her election to the City Council in 2014, Barbara has been a member and chair of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission from 2008-2012 and served on the Visit Huntington Beach Board of Directors. She is active in many community organizations including the Huntington Beach Assistance League Advisory Board, a member of Soroptimist International of HB and the HB Council on Aging. Barbara also appreciates the Huntington Beach pet friendly environment where she enjoys spending time with her two Tibetian terriers Jack and Gracie.

As a Council Member, Barbara is serving as the liaison to the Allied Arts Board, Children's Needs Task Force, Citizen Participation Advisory Board and the Environmental Board. She is a member of the following City Council committees: Beautification, Landscape & Tree, Strategic Committee and Sunset Beach Community Association.

James O'Callaghan,

Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce

  James O’ Callaghan began his tenure with the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce July 2016, after serving as the President/CEO of the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce for four years, from 2012 - 2016. He is currently on the board of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) and a graduate of their Academy (a three-year operational and leadership development curriculum). Prior to joining the Chamber, he served as Executive Director of Venice Visitor and Director of Visitor Services for LA Inc., the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Before entering non-profit management, James also held leadership roles for various commercial companies. His background includes economic development and tourism monetization.

James holds a B.A. from Hofstra University in Political Science and a masters of Education from Columbia University.
 Dr. Omid Pourzanjani
Omid Pourzanjani, Ed.D.
Vice President of Instruction
Golden West College

  Omid has been serving higher education for the past 35 years. His passion in life (besides his family) is to help improve people’s lives through education. For the first 25 years of his career, he worked as a faculty member at three different higher education institutions in southern California while concurrently serving in various leadership positions in high tech private industry. He has spent the past ten years building pathways to get students to jobs, whether directly from college or through transferring them as efficiently as possible to a program at a four-year university. He is currently the Vice President responsible for Academic Affairs at Golden West College. 

Omid holds a master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from CSU, Long Beach and a Doctorate in Education from UCLA.

Visit Huntington Beach
  Kelly Miller is the President & CEO of Visit Huntington Beach. Miller brings nearly 30 years of experience in all aspects of destination leadership, branding, sales, marketing and product development to Surf City USA, and works collaboratively with the Visit Huntington Beach board, staff, and community stakeholders. Miller previously served as president and CEO of Tampa Bay & Company, has spent 12 years as executive director of the Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce and also worked for the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau for 6 years. Miller has been surfing in Huntington Beach since he arrived in September 2013 and is proud to call Surf City USA his family’s home.
